We voluntarily foster good public education on the importance of dental health, especially in the area of preventative dentistry. Below is some basic information which could change the way you smile and get you compliments like, “You look terrific!
Getting rid of stains

1. Polishing, which is the simplest method of stain removal, eliminates many food stains, or stains attributed to coffee or tea.
2. Bleaching, utilizes a strong oxidizing agent to lighten the teeth and is a relatively conservative and often highly effective way to brighten the smile.

3. Bonding, involves the application of a plastic material to the existing tooth. This process can be particularly effective in masking tetracycline stains, white or brown spots, stains due to excessive wear and in lightening teeth that have become discolored by amalgam, the blend of metals found in silver fillings.

4. Lamination is an extension of the bonding technique. It consists of applying a thin veneer of pre-formed porcelain, composite resin or plastic to the teeth.

5. Crowning, is a much longer-lasting, although less conservative, treatment alternative that requires reducing the tooth and covering the remainder with a custom-made restoration.

Repairing Fractured Teeth

Closing Gaps

Spaces between teeth can be corrected with bonding. This treatment will not only improve your self-image, but will also allow people to look at your face without being distracted by the irregularity in your smile.
Replacing Missing Teeth with Implants

A dental implant is simply a metal or ceramic device that replaces the root of the natural tooth. After an implant is placed into the underlying bone, artificial teeth are attached to it, enabling normal function.
Untwisting Teeth

How your gums affect your smile

Gum disease, commonly referred to as periodontal disease, is a condition that affects the tissues surrounding the teeth. It is caused by excessive bacteria building up in the mouth. The collection of bacteria and their by-products is commonly referred to as plaque. If plaque is allowed to remain in the mouth for too long, the minerals from the saliva cause it to harden, forming what is known as calculus tartar.
Looking younger with Cosmetic Dentistry

Dentistry’s role in improving appearance is often misunderstood and underrated. For example, many people believe that only dentures can alter the appearance of their smile, yet nothing could be further from the truth. Such cost-effective techniques as cosmetic contouring, bleaching or bonding often work wonders – typically in a single office visit!
